This was a mistake on my part - go back to my other blog

I'm afraid I screwed up here. I thought  new blog for Taos would be a good idea. It wasn't. I have resumed posting on my original blog.

Introducing The Little House in Taos

I fly out to the States in four days' time. By Sunday - if the good Lord wills it and the creeks don't rise- I shall bed down in the casita, or little house, in the historic town of Taos, northern New Mexico, where I'm due to stay for the following ninety days. While I do have a plan for the writing I wish to do there I am prepared for surprises. I visited Taos once, thirty years ago, when I lived in the Land of Enchantment as an undergraduate. I am braced for a stunning visual and cultural experience.

Just as I did when staying in the Red House on the Niobrara, I expect to post some text and a few photos most days. For now, I'll offer a taster in the shape of a few images from my last trip to the south-western states.

When I lived in New Mexico, in the 1980s, I used to clean the windows at this joint, right there on Route 66 a block or two from the university campus. You might say it was  high point in my career.
I timed my last visit to coincide with the International Balloon Fiesta - along with many thousands of visitors

I seem to recall that this is the State bird - the road-runner, a frequent visitor to my mate Glenn's Albuquerque backyard.

Watch out for my first post some time Monday or Tuesday of next week.
